Gambel Oak makes fantastic firewood. Those small logs offer several advantages over pine.

• Up to twice the BTUs per pound.
• Dense, so each pound is considerably smaller.
• Many of the dead trees have no bark, so smoke is also limited.

The LCF HOA is actively encouraging removal of dead oak from the common areas - either for firewood or as a community service.

IF YOU'RE REMOVING OAK OR OTHER VEGETATION, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE DEAD BRANCHES OR OTHER LADDER FUELS BEHIND YOUR NEIGHBORS' HOMES. MOVE THEM TO A DESIGNATED BURN PILE.
